MUMBAI: Sky Blu, who is one half of the famous American EDM rapper duo- LMFAO will fly to India for his maiden trip this March. The party rocker will be touring two cities- Delhi and Mumbai on 8 and 9 March respectively.
Reports of a Sky Blu India tour first surfaced earlier in January. Skyler Austen Gordy (aka Sky Blu) teamed up with his paternal uncle 'Redfoo' to form LMFAO. The duo released their debut album 'Party Rock' in 2009 and 'Sorry for Party Rocking' in 2011, which featured some of the most played tunes on dance floors for a few years now. Some of the duo's most popular tracks include 'Party Rock Anthem', 'I'm In Miami B***h', 'Champagne Showers', 'Sexy and I Know It', 'Shots' and 'Sorry for Party Rocking'.
'Party Rock Anthem' peaked at number one in over ten countries- including France, UK, U.S, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland and Australia. Since 2012 the duo has been on a hiatus, and is currently exploring their solo careers.
Last year, Sky Blu released his first solo, nine track album 'Rebel Music' as a free download. He recently also released a Hip-Hop single 'Go On Girl'. The 27 year old DJ/ rapper also revealed that he is working on his new album 'The Party President'.
The artiste will be brought to India through Outcry Entertainment. Ticket sales have started and currently are priced at Rs 2250 to 7500. However, the ticketing site has mentioned that prices shall increase soon as these are early bird rates. The exact venue has not yet been revealed.
