MUMBAI: Pop-rock band Euphoria has joined The Dewarists bandwagon this December. Dr. Palash Sen’s outfit, besides urging people to vote and making videos promoting public transportation in Delhi, seems to have hit the sands on Pondicherry for their new project. The promo video for the episode was made public on the show’s YouTube page on 1 December.

According to sources, the fifth episode of The Dewarists Season three sees Palash Sen and his Delhi based band ‘Euphoria’ making music alongside Jayachandran Palazhy, the Pondicherry based founder of Attakkalari centre for movement arts. The collaboration hopes to enthral audience with a fusion of contemporary movement arts and Euphoria’s powerful and entertaining music.

A very up-to-date Euphoria FaceBook page carried a post along with a picture of the band and Palazhy on 23 November saying, “Pondicherry keeps on surprising us, day after day.. a new idea, a new storm, a new song.. Something is cooking, and it's coming your way.. This December, Euphoria re-invents and re-defines Hind Rock n Roll, once again.. There's always a rhyme, where there's no reason.” To keep their fans’ excitement levels up, there was another status update on 28 November that said they had just finished something fantastic in Pondicherry and landed in Kolkata for their next concert, and included a picture of Dr. Palash Sen in Pondicherry.

The Dewarists Season three which is themed ‘Music Meets Art’ saw Monica Dogra of indie rock outfit, Shaair+Func collaborating with photographer and light specialist, Eric Pare, and Prashant Mistry of one of UK’s electro bass outfits, Engine-EarZ Experiments. The episode was shot in Manali and was a stirring amalgamation of light painting and electronic music. The second episode had indie-pop artiste Lucky Ali collaborating with renowned installation artiste, Shilpa Gupta to depict the loss of identity in a city like Mumbai. For the third episode, the Dewarists team brought together hand shadowgrapher, Amar Sen, and audio-visual collective, B.L.O.T., to showcase the creation of the island city, tracking the progress from its colonial identity to the business hub of the country. Peter Car Recording Co. provides vocals to compliment the visuals.

The show is produced by Only Much Louder’s sister concern, Babblefish Productions for MTV India and airs on Sundays at 8 PM.
