Lorde to perform at Grammy nominations special concert

MUMBAI: For nine weeks Lorde's 'Royals' ruled the Hot 100 chart and now, the 17 year old singer/ songwriter could even earn Grammy gold for her hit debut track. The breakthrough artist is also set to perform at the Grammy Awards nominations special, which will take place in Los Angeles on Friday (6 December).

The New Zealand singer, who released her debut album 'Pure Heroine' this year on 30 September, did so on the last day to be considered for nominations at the Grammys. Lorde is gearing up to perform at the Nokia Theatre, L.A for 'The Grammy Nominations Concert Live' and will be joined by rapper/ production duo- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Also performing at the event will be Robin Thicke, whose hit single 'Blurred Lines' was the longest running No. 1 track this year. He will be joined by rapper T.I and members from Earth, Wind & Fire. R&B singer Miguel is set to team up with country artist Keith Urban to perform 'Ain't No Sunshine' by Bill Winters.

The show will also include pre-taped performances by pop princess Katy Perry and country/ pop singer Taylor Swift. The one hour Grammy special will be hosted by rapper-actor L.L Cool J and will be broadcasted on CBS Network.
