MUMBAI: The Winter Whites Gala saw pop princess Taylor Swift and veteran rock star Jon Bon Jovi headline Kensington Palace's first ever live concert. And joining them for a performance was the man hosting the event, Prince William. The event was held for Centrepoint, a youth homeless charity for which the Duke of Cambridge has been a patron since 2005.

England's future king, who is said to be a fan of Bon Jovi, joined the 51 year old rocker and Swift on stage for the event's finale singing 'Livin' On A Prayer'. Talking about his meeting with the Duke of Cambridge, Bon Jovi said, “I met his father and I met his grandfather. He's still a young kid to me, but a nice young kid.” The second in line to the throne also presented an award to the 'Blaze of Glory' singer for the humanitarian work he does with his Soul Foundation.

Meanwhile, the 23 year old country pop singer who performed 'Love Story', '15' and 'Trouble' at the event said, “This is my first time playing at Kensington Palace or any palace for that matter. I want to thank you for having me Prince William, this is just amazing."

Other performers at the event included 'You're Beautiful' singer James Blunt, British indie/ pop singer Eliza Doolittle, rapper Tinie Tempah and Flawless, the dance troupe from Britain's Got Talent.
