MUMBAI: After setting up an Amphitheatre Pune with club, blueFROG is all set to expand its base in the Garden City of India, Bengaluru. All thanks to the demography and growth witnessed by blueFROG.

Speaking about the expansion in Pune, blueFROG MD Simran Mulchandani said, "Our recent addition blueFROG Amphitheatre Pune with club was also added after understanding the demography so that we can accommodate not just clubbers but also larger group of people. Pune has cultural past so we saw this as a big opportunity. By having two different spaces in Pune, we want to cater to customers across spectrum. "This Amphitheatre can accommodate up to 2000 people and is fully equipped with a stage, lights and a sound system.

Mulchandani furthered his conversation on Amphitheatre. He said, "It is a phenomenal space. It will help us organise big festivals in Pune. There are so many colleges in Pune so we have students who need space that we offer to enjoy their free time."

British based daily ‘The Guardian’ has placed blueFROG on top spot for being best live music venues. "Last three years, we have grown with popularity, customers and renowned artistes. We revolutionised the live music scene in Mumbai. Our contributions have been immense helping us with expansion plan." In December 2007, the club in Mumbai opened in Lower Parel. The 400-capacity club held gigs six nights a week. By December 2011, it launched a branch in New Delhi.

The much anticipated gig in blueFROG will be by Australian singer-songwriter Lenka. There will many other upcoming gigs by Dry The River, And So I Watch You From Afar, Zervas & Pepper and We Were Promised Jetpacks to name a few.

blueFROG also plans to host comedy festivals. "Along with live music gigs, we plan to strengthen our hold in comedy festivals."
