Worldwide Records to unveil Sir Ivan's debut album

MUMBAI: Music label Worldwide Records is all geared up to launch international electro-pop recording artist Sir Ivan’s debut album on 7 October in India. Titled ‘I am Peaceman’, the album comprises of dance remixes of iconic anti–war songs inspired by the 1960’s including John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, Bob Dylan’s ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’, and Buffalo Springfield’s ‘For What It’s Worth’. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announces nominees

MUMBAI: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced the list of nominees for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2013. The exhaustive list of 15 artists and bands from various fields of music include rock and hip hop legends like Deep Purple, Rush, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, NWA (Niggaz With Attitude) and Public Enemy. Also nominated are Paul Butterfield Blues Band, The Marvelettes, The Meters, Randy Newman, Donna Summer, Albert King, Heart, Chic, Procol Harum and Kraftwerk, report has said.

Karaoke World Championship reaches pinnacle

MUMBAI: After judging the singing talent in 15 cities, the second edition of the Karaoke World Championship has reached its pinnacle with the finale scheduled on 7 October in Mumbai. As reported by Radioandmusic.com earlier, the auditions were held across cities including NCR, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong, Jaipur, Patna, Indore, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Goa which was followed by a four city zonal finale. The finale will witness a total of 24 participants from the North, South, East and West Zone.

Kissh releases debut album 'on Times Music

MUMBAI: South Africa born Indian- origin singer Kissh has released his debut club album, simply titled ‘Lady’ on Times Music.  The album was launched on 4 October at Sky Lounge in Mumbai. The preppy ‘Hinglish’ (English-Hindi) album is recorded in Mumbai and produced by Bombay Vikings’ Neeraj Shridhar. The album took over two- years using session musicians sourced from Sweden and other Scandinavian countries, and India. It is an interesting mix of American R & B, Reggae, Bhangra, Euro pop, Afrikaans flavours along with strong bassline.

Anushka Manchanda probable contestant in Bigg Boss 6

MUMBAI: Vibrant bollywood  singer and fronting an independent electro-pop band Shkabang, Anushka Manchanda may now foray into the television space as a contestant in the sixth season of popular reality show Bigg Boss.
