'Thodi Der' a musical treat by Farhan Saeed

MUMBAI: The latest track from Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’ is here and it is indeed a treat for the one’s trying to get their way through the emotion called ‘love’.

‘Thodi Der’ starts with the melodies voice of Shreya Ghoshal, who sounds sweeter than ever, but the voice that brings a magical element to this track is of Farhan Saeed. The male vocals manage to make an instant connect and from there both Ghoshal and Farhan take the track to an all new level.

Undoubtedly, the singing is outstanding and so, is the music and the usage of Indian classical instruments. Saeed who also happens to be the music composer of this song has used the keyboards, electric guitar, harmonium and sarangi tunefully in the song. The instrument players Ali Mustafa, Ankur Mukherjee, Aditya Oke and Murad Ali Khan too deserve a shout out for their efforts.

Lyrics by Kumaar get the pulse of the moment. The videography is up to mark and both Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor look adorable in the video.

The only tiny hiccup is that Shreya's voice fails to match Shraddha's character in the film. Given the fact she plays a singer, we feel an attempt should have been made to bring in a voice that would have suited Shraddha more.

Overall 'Thodi Der' is here to stay and it will soon be climbing the number charts like 'Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga' and 'Baarish'.
