Dil Hai Hindustani - A Rocking show

MUMBAI: Star Plus new singing show Dil Hai Hindustani (DHH) has been the most awaited musical reality show. The expectations rose high ever since its teasers went on-air and the show has lived up to it, as it's bang on.

DHH with its fresh bunch of judging panel Karan Johar, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shalmali Kholgade and Badshah are rocking the show.

Unlike other musical reality shows, DHH knows exactly what the audience is looking for and since it's episode one, DHH exposed us to extraordinary and heart-touching performances giving us a new reason to follow the show till its end.

However, the peculiar factor is to see the globalized participants’ enthusiasm for Bollywood music. Isn’t it a proud moment for us as Indians?

A new platform for raw singers with an extremely talented and encouraging bunch of judges sets a perfect package for the show.

Participants from The United States Of America, Ukraine, Russia, Morocco, and London have been applauded and appreciated on the show. A few performances like, Digvijay’s unconventional voice on ‘Phir Le Aaya Dil’ made Shalmali cry. Well, Shekhar promised him a song and Karan wants that song to be a part of his movie. While, the others like, mother-daughter duo Saraswati and Ankita Bhattacharya from Kolkata left the judges awestruck with their performance on ‘Teri Mehfil’.

The show is living up to its tagline ‘Jiska aandaaz hoga magical and aawaz hogi original’ which is commendable. A few elements on the show are the usual, like the enduring stories of the contestants, but we think it will all take a backseat once the competition begins. Overall, 'Dil Hai Hindustani' is an entertaining show.
