Cardi B sets new Apple Music Record for most streamed album

MUMBAI: With more than 100 million streams worldwide, Cardi B’s new album Invasion of Privacy shatters Apple Music’s record for most streamed album by a female artist in its first week. By mid-week, streams for Invasion of Privacy had already more than doubled those of Taylor’s Reputation which held that record previously. Invasion of Privacy currently holds the number five spot on Apple Music’s worldwide chart of most streamed albums ever, blowing past Ed Sheeran’s Divide and The Weeknd’s Starboy. Additionally, Cardi’s collaboration with Latin superstars Bad Bunny and J. Balvin I Like It  at number one, most streamed song off the album worldwide.

Last week, Cardi confided in Ebro Darden during an exclusive interview on Apple Music’s  Beats 1 where she admitted,  “I feel confident but very nervous about dropping the new album. She also opened up about recording the Migos-assisted Apple Music hit Drip with her fiance Offset as well as her just-confirmed pregnancy.
