Bhushan Kumar flags off T-Series 'Year Of Singles' with Armaan Malik

MUMBAI: T-Series artist Armaan Malik has ruled hearts of music lovers with T-Series hits like Bol Do Na Zara, Sab Tera, Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon, Main Hoon Hero Tera, among others is ready to unveil his latest single Ghar Se Nikalte Hi, reprised from the 1996 Jugal Hansraj and Mayuri Kango-starrer Papa Kehte Hain which was originally sung by Udit Narayan and composed-penned by Rajesh Roshan and Javed Akhtar.

Ghar Se Nikalte Hi will be the first of the many more singles coming up from T-Series in 2018.  Watch out for new talent Angel who will mesmerize the audiences with her ethereal beauty.  The music for the single is recreated by Armaan’s older brother, composer Amaal Mallik, with additional lyrics by Kunaal Vermaa.

Bollywood's heartthrob singer Armaan says, “I had never heard the original song before. Bhushan sir has always been encouraging towards my career. I feel fortunate he thought of me to reprise his all-time favourite song. It’s a beautiful melody, amazingly elevated by Amaal. The song has beautifully written new lines. The fun part was shooting the video in high-speed so I had to sing the entire song two times faster than its original tempo. That was a challenge. The visuals of shooting in Greece will remain in my heart as it was my first time.”

The man who first visualized Armaan recreating the old song, T-Series Bhushan Kumar shares, “Ghar Se Nikalte Hi is like going back to an innocence that marks the emotions of love and longing of the bygone era. We felt Armaan was the right choice for it as he has a major fan following with youth. And, shooting it in the old town of Chania has helped further in evoking that tender, undefiled romance.”

Amaal Mallik gives a gist on his recreation, “Every song is a journey in itself, and this song is, too. Knowing the singer and how the video was going to be shot. I adhered to a collective vision and went about designing the sound. The sound is a balance between Indian and Western elements. Once the audience hears it, they'll find it to have a ‘reprise feel’ rather than a remake feel to it. I've surely gone the extra mile to revamp the song in terms of sound, essence, and words, keeping the original idea. I believe that when a beautiful piece of art is created, it is not to be messed with and its essence is essential.”

The talented singer-music composer Armaan Malik and Amaal Mallik have been thrilled to have worked on such an amazing composition and to be able to pay a tribute from their end. After treating the audience with the teaser of the song last week, the duo has released their new single today on T-series YouTube Channel.
