MUMBAI: The music of the much-awaited Marathi multi-starrer ‘Reti’ was launched on Thursday evening in a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai. Bollywood singer Shaan made his debut as a music director in the Marathi film industry. The film to be released in the month of April deals with the burning problems and ills hurting the society.
‘Reti’ boldly and rightly deals with the unholy nexus of the sand mafia, politicians and the ‘babus’ which is brazenly looting the natural resources of the land to amass ill-gotten wealth. Produced by Atharva Movies the film has popular star Chinmay Mandlekar with other well known stars like Kishore Kadam, Shashank Shende, Sanjay Khapare, Suhas Palshikar, Vidyadhar Joshi, Gayatri Soham, Deepak Karanjikar, Mausami Tondwalkar and Bhagyashree Rane.
Shaan’s debut music will surely attract the youth and establish him as a director. Rashmi Rajput the charming and attractive belle has an item song filmed on her which has been beautifully choreographed by Himanshu Kumar and Gaurav Shetty.
‘Reti’ has been shot mostly at Satana, Nampur, Dewala, Nashik and Mumbai. It has been directed by Suhas Bhosale. Producer Pramod Gore, executive producer Arun Rahane, story- screenplay and dialogue writer Deven Kapadnis, singers Nihira Joshi, Apeksha Dandekar and editor Kedar Gogte were all present for the launch.
“‘Reti’ will definitely set new benchmarks in the field of acting, music and direction in Marathi cinema,” said director Suhas Bhosale during his inter-action with the media.
