Ishq Bector's 'on spot' audition led to a bright future

MUMBAI: Ishq Bector is not at all an anonymous name to the Indian audience, everyone is aware of the talented singer and the songs that he has given. Songs like Aye Hip Hopper, Dakku Daddy are familiar to everyone, other than these the singer has also delivered a lot of Bollywood songs. Everyone remembers all of his songs but nobody knows how the singer started his journey in the film industry.

Ishq’s first ever Bollywood project was Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu starrer Barsaat which was released in the year 2005.

“My first Bollywood project came with the movie Barsaat. When I first went on the set of it, the people over there had a discussion that I am a rapper so they just wanted to put me in the DJ booth. After the first two takes, I felt I could do better and asked for a break. During this time, I spoke to Suneel Darshan sir explained that I had more potential and I was willing to audition at that very moment. Things fell into place soon after and I was moved from the DJ booth to the stage. That is exactly how I got my first Bollywood project,” said the Dakku Daddy singer.

Ishq Bector recently collaborated with Salim- Sulaiman in their new advertisement of McDowell’s No 1 Yaari. The singer is doing the Punjabi version of the ad which was released in five different languages.
