London 2012 Olympic Games music to release digitally

MUMBAI: For the first time, the music played during the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games will be released digitally. The albums from each of the ceremonies will be available online immediately after completion of events. The ‘Isles of Wonder – music for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics’ will be made available on 29 July 2012, while ‘A Symphony of British Music – music for the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games’ will be released on 12 August  2012.

Agnee to perform promotional concerts for 'Aalaap'

MUMBAI: After debuting as a composer in the movie 'Aalaap', renowned rock bank Agnee is all set to perform  promotional concerts across four cities in India. The band will perform live gig on 19 and 24 July in Surat and Mumbai respectively. The concerts will feature Agnee's popular tracks including songs from  the movie 'Aalaap'. The band also plans to perform in Delhi and Chennai, but it is yet to be confirmed.

Renowned bollywood singers to perform at Srinathji Temple fest

MUMBAI: Embracing spiritualism with poetry and music, renowned bollywood singers will perform at the nine day Srinathji Temple festival this year. Commencing from 19 August, the annual event will feature performances by Kailash Kher, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kavita Seth, KK, Sunali and Roopkumar Rathod, Prince and Group and Indo-Pak mushaira with poets amongst others. Nokia partners with RockeTalk and Maxus for mobile antakshari

MUMBAI: Handset maker Nokia has partnered with RockeTalk and Maxus India to launch audio game show Nokia Mobile Antakshari. Based on popular television series Antakshari, the show will enable Nokia Asha phone users across the country to sing and answer music related questions simultaneously. The mobile users will also win a chance to perform in the Gala round in front of more than 8.6 million users. The construct will allow Nokia to 'vital connect' with over 2 lakh 'deep engaged users' and 'passive connect' with the rest of the millions.

AIR has extensive plans for London Olympics 2102 reportage

NEW DELHI: All India Radio (AIR) will broadcast the opening and closing ceremonies of the London Olympics 2102 live on its national channel as well as on AIR FM Gold (106.4 MHz) on 27 July and 13 August respectively. In addition, the matches relating to hockey where India has qualified and football will also be broadcast live along with the semi-finals and finals. AIR sources told Radioandmusic.com the public broadcaster has drawn up extensive plans to give live telecast of the women’s hockey final and the men’s football final.
