Upcoming Marathi singer Jaydeep Bagwadkar speaks on new track

MUMBAI: Up-and-coming Marathi singer Jaydeep Bagwadkar recently wrapped up recording a new item song for the forthcoming Marathi film- ‘Kshan’. The music for the song was given by Pune-based music composer Atul Joshi. For this song, Bagwadkar sang alongside female Marathi vocalist Savani Ravindra.

Speaking on the track, Bagwadkar said, “We recorded the track in Pune with Savani and Atul. Working with Atul and Savani was really fun. Atul also helped me on my album ‘Avchit Pawasat.’ I cannot wait to see how the entire soundtrack of ‘Kshan’ shapes up. The film is scheduled to go on floor in a couple of weeks.”

Bagwadkar released his debut album called ‘Avchit Pawasat’ last Saturday, 16 May under Universal Music. Along with Bagwadkar, Marathi vocalists Mangesh Borgaonkar, Dhawall Chandawadkkar and Avatika Pande are also featured on the album. ‘Avchit Pawasat’ is available for streaming on the online streaming website, Saavn.

He was last seen at the music launch of upcoming Marathi film ‘Welcome Zindagi’. For the film, Bagwadkar lent his vocals for the track, ‘Life Ka Funda’, which was composed by Pankaj Padghan, who is best known for hit Marathi films ‘Mitwa’ and ‘Classmates’.

Bagwadkar is scheduled to perform alongside female Marathi vocalist Madhura Kumbhar for a special live programme- ‘Swanand: Unfolding the Musical Journey of Words.’ on Friday, 22 May at Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane. It is a musical that traces the journey of two-time National Award winning Bollywood lyricist Swanand Kirkire. The programme will be hosted by famed Marathi actress Priya Bapat.
