Tulsi-Hitesh reception lures Bollywood and musicdom's best

MUMBAI: It was the wedding of the month. And the stars descended on the Sahara Star close to Mumbai's Domestic Airport. The occasion: T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar’s sister, singer Tulsi Kumar-Hitesh Rahlan's wedding reception. The who's who of the entertainment industry turned up to wish the young lass on 2 March. Directors, actors, music composers, producers, singers, lyricists, business tycoons, journalists – they all trooped up to the exquisitely lit and aesthetically decorated Sapphire ball room.

Daboo Malik, the Meet bothers- Manmeet and Harmeet, Sajid, Salim Merchant, Raju Singh, Shekhar Ravjiani, Lalit Pandit, Armaan Malik, Anu Malik and Himesh Reshammiya, were among those we spotted from the music composing fraternity.

The singers were in abundance; a clear reflection of the kind of talent that the T-Series label has nurtured over the years. Alka Yagnik, Mamta Sharma, Neha and Sonu Kakkar, Aditi Singh Sharma, Udit and Aditya Narayan, Shaan along with Radhika, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, among many others were spotted cozying with the couple and wishing them oodles of happiness.

Amitabh and Abhishekh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Farah Khan, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon. Ramesh Sippy and Kiran Juneja, Dia Mirza, Danny Denzongpa, Esha Gupta, Rishi Kapoor, Abbas-Mastan, Satish Kaushik, Vidya Balan with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, Manish Paul, Richa Chadda, Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl, Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Vikram Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Rakesh Roshan, Jetendra, Tusshar Kapoor, Mana and Suniel Shetty, Kunal Kohli, Surveen Chawla, Gutam Gulati, Sonu Sood, Sunny Leone, Gulshan Grover, Smita Thackeray, Boney and Sreedevi Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Ameesha Patel, Shraddha Kapoor – and a host of others came in from the Bollywood brigade.

The reception ended at around midnight but the celebrations continued late into the night with Harmeet and Manmeet taking to the mike and belting out some of their favourites and singers Aditi Singh, Sajid, the Kakkar sisters and Mamta Sharma joining them on stage in an impromptu performance. It was great to see Bhushan Kumar doing a jig along with his wife, the gracious and beautiful Divya Kumar, and Sunny Leone too breaking into a step when Baby Doll was sung by the talent on stage.  Clearly, the atmosphere was charged and the merriment was ongoing but we at Radioandmusic.com had to depart as we had another gig to go to.
