Taylor Swift's new single to be 'Style', reveals record label head

MUMBAI: After 'Shake It Off' and 'Black Space', 'Style' could be the next single to be released by Taylor Swift from her new album '1989', as revealed by Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta over Twitter. During an impromptu Q&A via Twitter, when Borchetta was asked by a fan what would be the next Taylor Swift single, he said, "I am leaning towards Style... You?”

Swift first performed the song called 'Style' at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show earlier this month. The song is described to be about an intermittent relationship that "never (goes) out of style.” Over the long Christmas weekend, Swift stated over Twitter that she was "obsessed” with a mash-up cover of two of her songs – 'Style' and 'Black Space' by Louisa Wendorff.

Swift's last single 'Blank Space' is still ruling charts all around the world. The track continues to be at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Mainstream Top 40, Canada Top 40 and Adult Top 40. Swift first performed the song at the 2014 American Music Awards and as a part of 'Taylor Swift's 1989 Secret Session with iHeartRadio'.

The first single from the album 'Shake It Off' has been nominated for three 2015 Grammy Awards including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. '1989' marks the country singer's first documented pop album. Along with commercial success, the album has also received critical acclaim. The album is on the Best Albums of 2014 lists on NME, Billboard, Rolling Stone, Time, Guardian and many more.
