MUMBAI: It certainly is 'Darker than Blood’! Steve Aoki's new video comes out a little darker than the song’s lyrics. The music video has a fictional story about an infectious virus spreading among people. The track is a collaboration between Aoki and rockers Linkin Park. Although the track was officially released in April this year, the music video was unveiled on 25 June.

The track is from the American DJ’s third studio album ‘Neon Future II’ which is a follow-up to last year’s ‘Neon Future I’. The video takes you to a journey that is miles ahead of time but at the same time reflects on issues that the human race faces when an epidemic breaks. The intense video features Aoki and Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda.

It is reported that the DJ cut down his number of gigs in 2014 to finish the album, which also features artistes like Snoop Lion, Rivers Cuomo and Lost creator J.J. Abrams.

Apart from ‘Darker than Blood’, Aoki and Linkin Park have worked on another track, titled ‘I Love It When You Cry’. In 2013, they also worked on track ‘A Light That Never Comes’ which was part of ‘Recharged’- a remixed album.

The DJ has become one of the top-grossing artistes through his constant endeavours in the dance music space and outside. The multi-talented electro house musician, record producer, and music executive, Aoki, has now entered the eye gear business. He recently unveiled the Steve Aoki Collection from Dim Mak. The eye wear is priced at $60, and has an exclusive website.
