RJ Malishka takes her video pick for 'India's Digital Superstar'

MUMBAI: After rapper Raftaar discussed his favourite videos for the first-of-its-kind reality competition series 'India's Digital Superstar' recently, Red FM's RJ Malishka also selected her choice with show host Sahil Khattar. The popular RJ chose the video by Sachin R Mohite, who, in his video climbed atop a building without any ropes or climbing equipment, using just his hands and feet.

'India's Digital Superstar (IDS)' started auditions from 19 January which will culminate in the finale in May.

In addition to attracting listeners every morning on radio, the popular radio jockey also has a digital presence. Malishka has her own YouTube channel called ‘Malishka Unleashed’, where she interviews all kinds of celebrities. She recently interviewed the cast of ‘The Best of Me’, the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel.

Speaking on the scope of the digital platform, Malishka said, “There is nothing better for enterprising young people than to create their own videos and venture into the digital medium. You can be whatever and whoever you want to be on a digital platform. Now, with the growth of talent on digital platform, people have become more sporting. It has now become more liberating.”

Malishka has also been very active on TV, participating in many reality shows like ‘Connected Hum Tum’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. She has been associated with Bigg Boss, not as a participant, but as a special guest. The last edition of Bigg Boss saw Red FM’s RJ Pritam reach the finals. Commenting on the show and Pritam, she said, “Given Pritam’s popularity on Bigg Boss last season, I am thinking about participating in it. Also, I really want to host ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ this year.” Along with this, Malishka is even in talks with to host live events. The multi-faceted RJ was recently seen giving away an award at the Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) Awards 2015.

She was recently presented with the ‘Game Changer Award’ on Women's Day by the HRC Club.
