'Haider' sweeps technical awards including three for sound at IIFA, æEk VillainÆ wins Song Recording

NEW DELHI: Bollywood film- 'Haider' has swept the Technical awards of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), bagging as many as six awards, which include three for sound and background score.


The International Indian Film Awards Rocks and Technical Awards are set to take place on 5 June in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year's Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend celebrations are slated to take place from 5 to 7 June in Kuala Lumpur.


Along with winning wards for Background Score (Vishal Bhardwaj), Sound Mixing (Debajit Changmai) and Sound Design (Shajith Koyeri), 'Haider' also won Costume Designing (Dolly Ahluwalia), Production Design (Subrata Chakraborty & Amit Ray) and Make-up (Preetisheel Singh & Clover Wootton).


Meanwhile, 'Queen' and 'Kick' won two awards each. 'Queen' took home the award for Screenplay (Vikas Bahl, Chaitally Parmar, Parveez Shaikh) and Editing (Aburag Kashyap and Abhijit Kokate) while 'Kick' walked away with Choreography (Ahmed Khan) and Special Effects – Visual (Reupal Rawal).  


'Ek Villian' won for Song Recording (Eric Pillai) and 'PK' got the honour for Dialogue (Abhijit Joshi & Rajkumar Hirani). The film '2 States' won an award for Cinematography (Binod Pradhan) and 'Bang Bang' took home an accolade for Action (Parvez Shaikh and Andy Armstrong).
