Bhushan Kumar wanted a song that would praise Sunny Leone beautifully in 'Ek Paheli Leela'

MUMBAI:  Praising the sultry Sunny Leone about her beauty may sound a little strange. But, this is what T Series’ head honcho, Bhushan Kumar wanted for the upcoming movie ‘Ek Paheli Leela’. The music of the song ‘Khuda Bhi’ is composed by ‘Saawan Aya Hai’ composer- Tony Kakkar, and lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir. Mohit Chauhan has rendered the vocals for the track.

“It was after I composed the song for ‘Creature 3D’, Bhushanji met me and asked me to compose a soft romantic tune; I already had a tune in my library. I made him listen to it and he loved it,” said Kakkar. Kumar told him that the song was to be featured on Sunny Leone. It took them a week to create the song after Manoj Muntashir wrote the lyrics. “When I met Manoj, he told me that he wishes to invest a few days for the track as he needed to get that one peg. A couple of days later, I had the track with me,” he further added.

The song took a few hours for Muntashir to write. “Bhushanji asked me to write a song that would praise Sunny Leone beautifully. To a lay man it might sound strange, but she is really very beautiful. After a lot of thinking , I wrote these lines ‘Itni anmol cheez de di kaise, sochta hoga, tu be-misaal hai, teri kya misaal doon, aasmaan se aayi hai, yehi keh ke taal doon,  phir bhi koi jo pooche, kya hai tu kaisi hai, hathon me rang leke, hawaa me uchaal doon’. The last line was actually the highlight. There were some who felt that the lyrics were too poetic, but Bhushanji put this foot down and retained my lines,” explained the ‘Galliyan’ lyricist.

The film ‘Ek Paheli Leela’ is slated to hit the theatres on 10 April, 2015
