MUMBAI: As soon as the verdict of Salman Khan being guilty in the 2002 hit and run case was revealed, tweets in favour of the super star started pouring in. A number of musicians, including Wajid Khan, Mika Singh, Palak and Palash Muchhal, came out in support of the famous Bollywood actor. However, one singer who grabbed maximum attention was 'Suno Na Suno' singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who went on a Twitter rant.
Roads are meant for cars and dogs not for people sleeping on them.. @BeingSalmanKhan is not at fault at all..@arbaazSkhan @sonakshisinha

Come out fraternity, support @BeingSalmanKhan boldly not hypocriticly Roads footpath r not meant 4 sleeping, not driver's or alcohol's fault

While many fans of the actor agreed with Bhattacharya, there were quite a few who found his tweets distasteful. And then there were those who ridiculed the singer, trolling him on the micro blogging site.
No one should sleep on footpath. That's a crime. People should sleep on roads, not footpath - Abhijeet _/\_

After few hours, Abhijeet will tweet, "Sorry, I was sleeping. It was my nephew!" #ShameOnAbhijeet

However, one celebrity in particular did not see eye to eye with the veteran singer. Neelesh Misra seemed rather miffed with Bhattacharya's view.
Shame on you @abhijeetsinger I regret that I once wrote a song that you sang. What a shameful way to seek publicity. #SalmanKhan

We are not entirely sure if the singer is simply seeking attention or really does feel this way.
