"Believe in yourself, keep doing what you love," advices Taba Chake to fans

MUMBAI: The multilingual independent singer Taba Chake, from Arunachal Pradesh, humbled the audience with his simplicity when he recently performed at the Vh1 Supersonic music festival in Pune.

In an interview with Radioandmusic, Chake expressed his feelings when asked about his genuine, simple demeanour, ‘I am still the same person, I don’t look for change. Even if I become the most successful person financially and in terms of artist fan base in the country I would want to be the same person that I was when I started my journey.”

The singer-songwriter who is known best known for his 2019 album 'Bombay Dreams', a 10-track set with songs in English, Hindi and Nyishi mentions, “I have come here to make history and being the only artist from North East who sings, writes in multiple languages has his own melody and that too doing well, this in itself gives me a boost and motivation to be in my best form.”

According to Chake's official YouTube page, the album has stacked up over 25 million streams on music streaming app Spotify alone and over 30 million across other platforms.

Chake has one piece of advice that he would like to give budding musicians and fans, “Believe in yourself and no matter where you come from keep doing what you love.”
