Ross From Friends shares euphoric new single "Love Divide"

MUMBAI: Ross From Friends—AKA British producer Felix Clary Weatherall releases "Love Divide", the second single to be taken from the artist’s forthcoming album 'Tread' that bears all the hallmarks of a future Ross From Friends classic: brilliantly refracting and subverting big room euphoria and remodelling it in his singular production style.

Following from previously-released lead single "The Daisy" which exemplifies the spirit of the album, the result is a sleek but funky four-to-the-floor bullet that is already a fan favourite judging by the reactions from recent live sets at UK festivals Green Man, Lost Village and Field Day.

An artist who demonstrates an ever-increasing mastery of his craft, Ross From Friends' new album 'Tread' is a record that is beautifully textured and melodic but also eminently danceable. He manages to cleverly balance nostalgia with forward-thinking innovation, creating something brilliantly modern, with nods to sounds and styles that are not so much reflected but re-contextualised through his lens.

'Tread' follows Ross From Friends’ highly acclaimed 2018 debut album ‘Family Portrait’—named one of the best of the year by Crack Magazine, Mixmag, NME and AV Club with further support from the likes of Rolling Stone, The Observer, The Wire, Resident Advisor and many more—and the subsequent "Epiphany" single on Brainfeeder, both of which were dedicated to and inspired in part by his parents and sister respectively.

A cornerstone of Ross From Friends' music has always been the blistering 3-man live show—comprising Felix, Jed Hampson & John Dunk—that delivers a killer blend of live musicianship (guitar, keys and saxophone) and electronics and has graced stages at the likes of Coachella, Glastonbury, Primavera, and Sonar to name a few.
