Vernon Noronha drops sophomore EP ‘Winds & The Murky Seas’

MUMBAI: Mumbai based Singer Songwriter and independent music artist Vernon Noronha today released his much-awaited EP ‘Winds and the Murky Seas’. This short collection of three Indie/Folk songs comes from his own somberexperiences during the dreadful pandemic. Each tune throws light on the vulnerable and uncertain nature of thriving and treading in the industry during such ambiguous times.

Vernon’s ship as a Singer Song writer set sail back in 2011. His most cherished experiences have been playing at prominent venues and festivals across the country, as well as the release of his debut EP 'Closer To Home' in 2016 followed by the single ‘Dream Sandwich’ which released in 2019, featuring Raghav Meattle.

Sharing more about this release, Vernon Noronha said, “All the three tracks on the EP are fresh off the boat, something I wrote and composed during the pandemic. The second track - Empty Teacups, talks about the impact of the sudden country wide lockdown in 2020. It empathizes with artists in every field who have lost their ray of hope and are swimming in uncertainty or are afraid of falling head on into an empty sea a.k.a. no opportunities. This EP is my silent ode to all those who continue to persevere and choose to hop onto to that boat called ‘hope’, every day”.

Malay Vadalkar from Easy Wanderlings who also co – produced Dream Sandwich has contributed immensely into shaping the EP while keeping it close to Noronhas's Siesta-ish sound.
