Mumford & Sons 'Babel' tops Billboard charts

MUMBAI: British folk band Mumford & Sons has scored the biggest debut of the year as their second album ‘Babel’ has topped the Billboard charts. ‘Babel’ sold 600,000 copies in its first week of release according to figures from Nielsen SoundScan. It also scored high as Best debut of 2012 (topping Justin Bieber's Believe (374,000), Biggest sales week for a rock album since 2008 (AC/DC's Black Ice (784,000) and four top 10 singles on the Alternative airplay chart, including a No 1 on the Rock Songs airplay chart with ‘I Will Wait’.

Taylor Swift releases title track 'Red'

MUMBAI:  A week after releasing her lovesick ballad ‘Begin Again’, Grammy award winning country singer Taylor Swift released the title track of her forthcoming album ‘Red’ which is said to be an ode to a passionate fling. The album is schedule to release on 22 October.
