She Cheers For Her: Defying social clichés, Vh1 India applauded those women who support each other through Women’s Day campaigns

MUMBAI: Beyonce rightly said that the world is run by girls and when they support one another, there is no limitations to their success. From Billie Eilish sweeping the GRAMMYs in 2020 to Kamala Harris making history as the first woman vice president of America, women in recent times have not only thrived to succeed in male dominant professions but also created history. On Women’s Day, Vh1 India honoured those mighty women who not only uplift one another but also aim to inspire other women to succeed through their latest digital campaign ‘She Cheers For Her’.

Breaking the monotonous stereotype of women contemporaries pitted against one another, Vh1 India through a series of reels showcased the appreciation of one female artist for the other. Musicians such as DEE MC, Akanksha from Cryosis, Avanti Nagral and others came together for a for a social media collaboration with Vh1 aiming to bring attention to the importance of empowering fellow female artists in the indie music scene.

For millennial women seeking careers in the music industry, Vh1 India went a step ahead through a series of LIVE sessions featuring some of music industry’s most recognized names such as Heena Brar (PR & Communications Head – IncInk Records), Anisha Kotwani (founder of WAVLNGTH), Anushka Manchanda and Malvika Manoj.
