NCPA along with HSBC brings to you a live workshop on embracing ‘Digital Spaces’ for performing arts

MUMBAI: India’s premier cultural institution, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in collaboration with HSBC will be hosting a workshop on ‘The Convergence of Digitization and the Arts’ as part of their initiative on ancillary skill development for the artiste community.

Considering the COVID-19 has impacted this community largely with no live performances, the workshop will introduce artistes to platforms, processes and means to be able to enhance their engagement online.

Supported by HSBC, renowned Kathak dancer Keerthi Kumar will be taking a live audience through touchpoints that enable performers to conduct virtual classrooms, online performances, conferences & seminars using a mix of household equipment, handy tools and subscription-based software.

This live dialogue will cover variety of subjects that make it imperative for an artist to re-look at monetization in the new normal. From home acoustics & lighting system settings to re-modelling teaching methodologies for the digital medium, the workshop will cover a number of significant aspects. All of these are aimed at elevating the digital medium to thereby helping content creators’ brand & promote themselves to audiences across the globe.
