MTV VMA 2020: Best red carpet looks that stole the limelight!

MUMBAI: The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards took place tonight, with performances that aired from different locations throughout New York. Performers included Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, the Weeknd, Maluma, BTS, and more.

The MTV Video Music Awards differed this year, thanks to social distancing-friendly green screens and Tron-esque lights, but the artists are still serving and giving us pop culture history.

Leading the arrivals was Miley Cyrus, who chose a sheer black mesh dress with silver embellishments all over it.

Choosing a silver coat-dress which was a statement in itself, Gaga channeled the moon man with a clear glass headpiece and the classic towering stiletto boots she has long been known for.

Machine Gun Kelly’s favourite colour of late has been pink, and his VMAs outfit certainly reflected that.

The Weeknd went for red and black, with make up on his face to look like injuries – ouch!

The Black Eyed Peas went for a white and denim theme, with accessories including bandanas, hats and a very Covid-appropriate mask for their turn on the red carpet.

Nicole Richie gave fans serious Tinkerbell vibes in her green dress with a long train and a chic folded design.

Blink 182’s Travis Barker made his feelings known on his mask – telling everyone: ‘Don’t trust anyone’.

It was all about the designer for DaBaby, who rocked Louis Vuitton shorts and a Dolce and Gabanna hat as he posed up on the red carpet.

Jaden Smith’s brightly coloured jacket was the ideal look for the socially-distanced red carpet – we love.

Madison Beer looked smoldering in her little black dress which showcased the 21-year-old's slender body.
