MUMBAI: Legendary singer Sonu Nigam was recently in the news for launching his own music label 'I Believe Music' and releasing its first song 'Rudrakstakam' last week. He is all set to release another track under the label, ‘O Bharat Maa’ which will release on August 10. ‘I Believe Music’ is Sonu’s endeavour of creating a level playing field for all talented musicians and the label prides itself on associating with gifted musicians, not just in these two songs, but in the future as well.
Nigam’s choice of song are topical and seasonal which reflect his keen understanding of the audiences and their likes. While Rudrashtakam was a devotional track released during the month of Shravan, ‘O Bharat Maa’ will be releasing close to Independence day. The track, penned by Dheeraj Kumar, has been been composed by Sunil Devbanshi who has previously given music for independent tracks like Khuda Jaane and Ehsaas.
Commenting on the venture and its second track Sonu says, “I Believe Music has been in the planning stage for a while and we always wanted to create music that will strike a chord with the audiences. We at ‘I believe music’ are making sure that young and fresh talent get an opportunity to showcase their skills via our music. The only criteria we believe in is pure talent and hard work and everyone working with us has come through the same way. Rudrashtakam was a beautiful and an auspicious song to start with and I’m sure O Bharat Maa will strike a chord with the audiences as well," he signs off.
