MUMBAI: Singer Rahul Jain who has already created a storm on social media with his song Badnaam and has got millions of views for the same is now back with a new song Meri Maa. Meri Maa is a tribute to the #GharBhejo initiative by Sonu Sood and is also dedicated to mother nation and all the mothers awaiting their children to come home in this lockdown. The compassion of Sonu Sood towards all those people in need has made it possible for so many to be with their family.

Rahul expressed about his inspiration behind this tribute, " Due to the current situation of lockdown, a lot of workers are not able to reach home or are not able to reach to their mothers, So I heard a lot of stories like this that so many mothers are waiting for their children to come home who are working in different cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore or any other city and are unable to be with their family especially mothers. And the initiative taken by Sonu Sood #Gharbhejo to help these people is very special; I have tried to show through this song how this movement has played an important role".

The song is sung by Rahul Jain and written by Vandana Khandelwal. We have seen them worked together many times before but what makes this song special is not only its motive but its collaboration with the savior of many Sonu Sood. Rahul also shared the reason behind having Sonu Sood as a part of the song, " I was reading about how different celebrities are collaborating and contributing, donating but what Sonu has taken it to another level where he actually was with people on the ground facing the reality. It was a good cause and I believed that the song fits the initiative perfectly.

When I saw Sonu Sood is doing such a good deed and individually helping so many people to reach home in different cities and efforts like these deserve recognition. And I heard a lot of stories about so many people waiting for their loved ones and I thought there should be a song to give a tribute to it and the song should match the parameter of the work Sonu Sood is doing and I could tell everyone about this initiative".

The song has released today on 13th June to bring tears in your eyes and touch your heart.
