We wanted to do something special for our fans in India: London-based alt-pop duo Oh Wonder

MUMBAI: Oh Wonder, a London-based alt-pop duo consisting of Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht have attained international success with their alt-pop singles. Recently the singers collaborated for ‘Vh1 Quarantunes’, where one would get to witness their magical voice.

They would be going live on the Instagram page of Vh1 India on 20th April 2020 at 6 pm.

To get a glimpse on what the duo has planned for their virtual performance, we at Radioandmusic got in a chat with them.

Check inputs below.

Tell us about your collaboration with vh1 for their campaign.

Whilst we are all in lockdown and staying inside to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we wanted to do something special for our fans in India. We are teaming up with Vh1 to do a livestream on Instagram where we will be doing a special performance of a few of our songs, as well as a Q&A and hangout. We can’t wait!!

Can u give us a glimpse on what would u be discussing on Instagram live.

We’ll no doubt be chatting about how we’re feeling during this time, but also giving our fans an insight into our new project ‘Home Tapes’, where we are writing and recording songs from our home studio and releasing them to help people during this difficult time.

Pandemic COVID-19 has caused a lockdown upon us. Can u tell us how are u dealing with the quarantine? Anything new that you have tried?

We have started doing jigsaw puzzles, baking bread, cooking a lot (we’re currently trying to make Korean food!), writing songs and exercising. We’re also trying to teach our dog Margot new tricks - the best one so far is where she puts her hands in the air and sits on her back legs, it’s very cute.

What are your upcoming plans?

We’re excited to keep releasing music as part of our ‘Home Tapes’ project, as it’s just about the only thing we can plan for at the moment! All our touring plans have been postponed, for the time being, so we are just very happy and grateful that we can keep making music.
