Anuradha Paudwal gets mauli from Shri Siddhivinayak Mandir for Chetna Bhardwaj on sets of 'Indian Idol'

MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol has been a chartbuster show since its inception and is now back with a fresh ‘Season 11’. The judge panel of the show consists of names like Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar and Himesh Reshammiya. This year’s theme of Indian Idol ‘Ek Desh Ek Awaz’ is breaking all stereotypes and celebrates diversity in its true sense. The upcoming episode of the show will see Anuradha Paudwal and Kumar Sanu as guests.

Delhi girl Chetna recently performed on the songs ‘Adayein Bhi Hain Mohabbat Bhi Hai’ and ‘Mainu Ishq Da Lagya Rog’. Chetna is a passionate singer and aimed to make her career in singing since her school days but her father opposed it completely and wanted her to concentrate on studies and make a career in academic front. Though the little girl was always supported by her uncle and with his help is now living her dreams on the stage of Indian Idol 11. Anuradha Paudwal herself is an ardent follower of the show and has been a supporter of Chetna and when she came to know that she would be coming for Indian Idol, she got Raksha dhaga from Mumbai’s renowned temple Shri Siddhivinayak Mandir.

After her performance, the judges were left in awe of her voice and Judge Himesh Reshammiya couldn’t control himself from praising Chetna. He said, “You are a terrific singer and It was clearly visible that you were enjoying the song while singing. It is the quality of a performer and you are a complete package.”

Anuradha Paudwal says, “You are such an amazing singer and seeing you perform so well, I am sure that soon your father’s inhibitions about your singing will get over. You look adorable on the stage while you sing and I would like to wish you all the best for your future performances.”
