MUMBAI: Gifted weaver of melodies and passionate musician Goldie Sohel has releases his new song, Nai Jeena that describes the ambiguous longing that follows the loss of a great love. It is an introspective journey into different versions of oneself. The soulful ballad is supported by Artist Originals (AO), JioSaavn’s hit-breaking label for global South Asian artists.

Speaking about the new track, Goldie Sohel, said, “This song is very close to my heart. It is a blend of both, emotions and music. The lyrics depict hope and love in a very special way. The musical masterpiece takes inspiration from the sound styles of several legendary musicians including Eric Clapton, John Mayer and Charlie Puth. Smooth as silk, Goldie Sohel’s voice brings to life the powerful lyrics. It is no surprise, then, that AO retained all of Goldie’s original lyrics presented in his very first draft.

Born into a family of musicians, Goldie began composing and singing from a very young age. With a passion for spreading love through his compositions, he started his own band Sukoon which gave birth to noteworthy tracks including Door Na Ja and Pumpkin. Even at its nascent stage, Sukoon only performed originals and proved to be Goldie’s claim to fame.

Goldie entered Bollywood with his debut song, Maula Maula from the movie Mumbai Can Dance Sala before lending his voice to a romantic Bengali song, Monta Kotha Sonena, from the movie Kidnap. He has also written and performed several advertising jingles, including one for the Mumbai Fire Brigade. He is a strong believer in the creation of original sounds and music, a fact that truly differentiates him as a musician and an element of his work that will continue to evolve.
