MUMBAI: Major Lazer’s popular track, Cold Water has surpassed one billion streams on music streaming app Spotify. This is the world renowned musician’s second song to achieve this remarkable success after Lean On.

 The 2016 number, which marked Lazer’s collaboration with Justin Bieber and MØ, has made him the sixth artist to have two songs in his kitty to reach this noteworthy milestone. Having nailed this score, Major Lazer now joins the list of global musicians like Justin Bieber, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Chainsmokers and DJ Snake.

Meanwhile, the lyrical song has also garnered over 944 million views on YouTube and has been on the favourite songs list of music goers.
