Kushal Chheda's tongue twister song 'Aja Batla Du Mai' is out now!

MUMBAI: Kushal Chheda is a singer, lyricist, composer, pianist, music producer, speaker and a student of philosophy-all at only 21. A lover of music and academics alike, Kushal holds three degrees in music from the Trinity College of London and is about to earn his Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Mumbai.

The 21 year old lad has come up with a unique song called Aja Batla Du Main, a tongue twister song. This is also his debut single, which he released on the 11th of February and has been receiving a lot of appreciation in the music industry. This 'tongue twister song' immediately captures one's attention, thanks to its uniqueness and quirkiness. “This is a hardcore indie-pop song that we would see in the ’90s. What makes it different is that it is a tongue twister,” he reveals.

Continuing about the song and the inspiration behind it, Kushal says, “The most amazing part about this song is that there is no specific inspiration. The very concept of this song is to live in the present and enjoy it.”

His collaborative cover videos on YouTube has crossed over 38 million views! He's a touring musician, who regularly plays with Bollywood artists like Aditi Singh Sharma, Shirley Setia, Abhijit Sawant, Bhuvan Bum, Antara Mitra, Jonita Gandhi, etc.

He began young at the age of five when he started to learn how to play keyboards. The turning point, however, was in his twelfth standard. “My mother sat me down and asked me to make a choice as that was the right time. Thus, I chose music. However, I continue with my studies and currently pursuing a Masters in Philosophy.”

When asked about how he manages his studies and musical work together, Kushal simply answers "I don't! I love philosophy and music both. The idea is to do one thing at a time, and to do it really well."

Kushal likes to go by the stage name #KushalMangal. He has his future plans chalked out too, as he says, “My next is a rock ballet song. Being into acapella, I would do one Acapella song too. I would like to dedicate that song to my mother.”
