MUMBAI: Twin sisters and Indian singers Prakriti and Sukriti Kakar have won Listener’s Choice award together for the first time at the recentlt held Mirchi Music Award 2019.

The event that took place on last Saturday, saw Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety bagging the - Most Popular Album of the year- Listener’s Choice Award. Both sisters won their first Mirchi award for their respective songs, Lak Mera Hit Baliye and Subah Subah. While the former is sung by Sukriti Kakar along with Rochak Kohli, the later is crooned by Prakriti Kakar along with Amaal Mallik. Both Prakriti and Sukriti were delighted on receiving this honour.

Prakriti and Sukriti are India’s only twin singers, who have garnered fame in the world of Bollywood music with their hit tracks Hawa hawa, Kar Gayi Chul and others.

Meanwhile, the girls have another reason to raise the toast as the twin sisters have debuted today with their first single ever, Sudhar Ja in collaboration with music label T-Series.

Also featuring the twins, the track is about love and betrayal. Composed by Abhijit Vaghani, while Kunaal Vermaa has penned the lyrics, the music video has already garnered over two lakh views on YouTube within seven hours of its release.
