MUMBAI: Newbie music composer duo Kabir Ahmed Khan and Athar, who started the year on a high note with their debut single, Musafir with Ankit Tiwari, are back with another song, Azaadi that has a different emotion.
Speaking about the song and the idea behind it, Kabir said, “It’s about us. The word ‘Azaadi’ we have used is about freedom from ourselves. The lyrics were also inspired from the current happenings, about which, we hear in news.”
“The song is written, composed as well as sung by us. The live music is also by us. The lyrics have a very raw and poetic vibe, which our all songs will be having,” Khan added.
Amey Londhe has mixed and mastered the music.
The video, released under Zee Music Company, is basically a motion graphics video. On this, Kabir revealed, “We just composed the song and showed it to Anurag Bedi sir and it was his call to release in the motion graphics format.”
The motion graphics video showcases the current things; the world is struck with, as the lyrics shout loud for freedom. The voice of Kabir-Athar also has a rebellious feel.
