Kareena Kapoor Khan's debut radio show starts today

MUMBAI: Last month saw the official launch of Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor's What Women Want, a radio show on Ishq FM 104.8 FM and from today, the show will be aired officially. The very first looks of her radio jockey started floating from September 2018 and her fans have been waiting for it since then.

The show is all about women and inspiring stories of women from different walks of life. A full-fledged promo of the show has been doing rounds, which features women like RJ’s own sister and actress Karisma Kapoor, sister in law and actress Soha Ali Khan, designer Masaba Gupta, Kareena’s co-actor from recent hit Veere Di Wedding Swara Bhasker, Sunny Leone, ace designer Manish Malhotra, Amrita Arora Ladak, Mallika Dua, Rega Jha among others.

Of the bits and pieces seen, some of the topics that the promo speaks about are online trolling faced by women, feminism in movies, guilt pangs faced by women, obsession with fair skin

During the recent launch show, Kareena Kapoor Khan had mentioned about how she has been brought up by empowered women and how she has been influenced heavily by them.

While it is very exciting to see Kareena Kapoor Khan in a different avtaar, it is not the first time, a film celebrity has turned into a radio jockey. This is the same channel where Kareena Kapoor Khan’s buddy and ace director Karan Johar is also hosting a show, Calling Karan Season 2.

What makes this show extremely interesting is that the producers have not limited their audiences just to the radio listeners but also have extended to podcasts and ten webisodes for the channel’s social media pages.
