Groove to some killer music from Superhero movies

MUMBAI: It’s a brilliant combination when music and superheroes, two incredible popular genres come together to bring magic on screen! Ever thought of that? Superhero films have always been rich with some mind-blowing background scores, but it’s only recently that their music has been recognized as an integral part of the story. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 (2014)

Another feather in his cap, composer Tyler Bates was also behind music for the popular Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1. The music was such a huge hit, making one of the few Marvel films to be known more for their music than the story. Deadpool 2 (2018)

The hugely successful franchise is not only known for its quirky dialogues but also for its music. The music is the backbone of Deadpool 2, consisting of 22 tracks composed by Tyler Bates. One of the Ashes was sung by Celine Dion and went on to become a highly successful number just like the film. Black Panther (2018)

Black Panther stole hearts not only with their story and performances but also with their fashion and music. Produced by Marvel Studios, recorded by Abbey Road Label, the film consists of 14 addictive, lively numbers. The songs are influenced by African culture, composer Ludwig Göransson actually travelled to Africa for inspiration. Kendric Lamar’s song Black Panther became an anthem for fans of the film. Thor Ragnarok (2017)

The God of Thunder created a stir with some crazy foot tapping background score. Recorded by Abbey Road Studios, the album includes 23 tracks, all produced by Mark Mothersbaugh. Fitting perfectly into the mood of the events in the film, each track is an ode to the Marvel universe. Suicide Squad (2016)

Composed by Steven Price, adding a unique zing to a twisted tale, the album for the film won the Kid’s Choice Award for the favourite track. Released under the Atlantic Records label, the film includes 23 tracks, of which Bohemian Rhapsody by legendary Freddie Mercury is one in the list.
