You have to work very hard because there is a lot of competition: HariharanÆs message to budding singers

MUMBAI: Legendary singer Hariharan recently attended Hungama Spotlight’s meet-and-greet session. The event showcased his performance, where he sang some of his hit songs, apart from sharing some of his personal life experiences, struggles and achievements. On this we at Radioandmusic digged a little deeper to know what motivates him and a lot more.

“Youth has motivated me to be young at heart and create music. Until you are creating music and executing your best, it will give you biggest happiness and everything will fall into the place,” shared Hariharan. 

On being asked, what message he wants to give to the budding singers, he said, “You have to work very hard because there is a lot of competition. Don’t imitate anybody as you can’t be up there with any kind of imitation.”

Hungama Spotlight provides artists of the music industry an opportunity to express themselves to their fans over live music and special renditions of their popular songs. Popular artists such as Neha Kakkar, Hardy Sandhu among many others have performed at Hungama Spotlight. Speaking about his experience on the same he shared, “I really loved the crowd, it was really a ‘Hungama’ one. I got a great response and when you get a great response from the crowd you are all geared and charged up.”

Lastly, Hariharan spoke about his upcoming projects, “I am doing a Ghazal album with Farad Shezad and with Colonial Cousins, I am doing a single. We are also creating music for a few Tamil films.”
