MUMBAI:  Brijesh Shandilya’s debut Ganpati song, Aaya Deva Re is another devotional song, released this year, on the occasion of Ganesh festival. The song is out on the official YouTube channel of B4U Music.

Speaking about how he landed up getting Aaya Deva Re, Brijesh said, “My friend Sanchari Bose approached me for the song and asked if I could do it. I said ‘yes’ as I had not done a Ganpati song yet. She then introduced me to the composer of the song Sanchit Choudhary and B4U people. I not only met them immediately but also made them listen to the song, which they liked. This is how we recorded Aaya Deva Re.”

With this song, Brijesh, who is famous for his songs like Banno from Tanu Weds Manu, has featured in a song for the first time, along with Sanchari Bose. On this, he revealed, “When it comes to the shooting of the video, though they had different plans, earlier, the makers asked me if I would feature in the video. I told them that I don’t have a problem, but there should not be much expectation as I am a singer and not an actor.”

“There was no choreographer, but I did manage to act by doing something or the other. The song was recorded, shot and I am happy that people are loving it,” he further added. The song has garnered over one million views on YouTube as of now and has a festive setup, boasting of glimpses of traditional Marathi culture.

When asked about the music and lyrics of the song, Brijesh said, “Music composer Sanchit has made a very catchy tune for the song. It is also written very nicely by lyrics writer Rahul Yadav. Everyone associated with this song is a new comer, but they have done a fabulous job.”

Aaya Deva Re is Brijesh’s first song with B4U Music. On his association with the digital music channel, the Trippy Trippy singer exclaimed, “It was awesome. The people of B4U are like family and made me feel quite comfortable. They are not only creative but also support each other as well as work together. They are quite humble and celebrate work. I got to learn a lot from them.”

Brijesh is damn sure that Aaya Deva Re will stand out from the crowd of other songs released on the occasion of Ganpati, this year. “I believe that we have tried to make a song that nobody has done. I won’t say that we are the best, but we have tried giving our best for the song.”

“I have always listened to Ganpati songs sung by other singers, whenever I went in Pandal. It felt like I should do some song for the deity, which people would hear. Also, it is Maharashtra’s biggest festival. There are many voices that have been repeated when it comes to devotional, so why not hear me for a change?” he further said.

Lastly, the singer left some valuable advice for people on the occasion of Ganapati festival. He concluded, “Celebrate the festival like you do every year, but try to do something different. Also, it is not only important to be happy during a festival, but also ensure that you don’t make your celebration a problem for someone else. I hope the noise level is lessened after the allotted time deadline is crossed.”

Menawhile, Brijesh Shandilya is also working on some other projects with B4U.
