Mannan Shaah to recreate song; Badshah to rap

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s renowned music director, singer and composer Mannan Shaah, who began his composing career with Commando: A One Man Army, is composing for Namaste England, as a solo composer.

Mannan talks about the genre of songs, the album will have. He says, “Namaste England album will have a love song, sufi song, a wedding number with a Punjabi flavour sung by Shahid Mallya, an emotional song and a seductive number  by a female singer.”

The film also has two love songs namely Tere Liye and Tu Meri Main Tera which happens to be the theme song.

The album will also have a recreation. “It is not exactly a recreated song. Well, I mean the song is not from the Hindi music industry. In fact, it is created in UK and the team has worked on it. The Indian audience will definitely listen to this for the first time. Badshah has done a fabulous rap in this party number,” he adds.

Besides, when it comes to his first break, Commando, the composer has not only managed to work on its second part, Commando 2: The Black Money Trail, but has also bagged the third sequel.

Commando has always been a great experience. I am also doing its upcoming sequel Commando 3. Currently, the song is under process but we have locked down three tunes, amongst which, one is definitely a love song,” said the composer.

Lastly, Mannan spoke about his interest in the independent music space. “I want to get into independent music but before that, I would like to observe the audiences reaction on Namaste England album. I am very fond of the independent music scene as well as artists like Badshah, Hardy Sandhu, Arjun Kanungo. If I start my independent music stint, it will be a melody song,” concludes the composer.
