MUMBAI: While there are many fans, who just hunt a way to meet cinema biggies, there are some, who find a unique way to reach out to their favourite celebs. One of the best examples of this is Radio Nasha’s RJ Anmol, who found an exceptional way to reach out to his dream Bollywood icon ‘Rekhaji’. He is the first Indian RJ to come up with a song that dedicates his fan love for her.

The song is the recreation of famous number, Khwaab Ho Tum, originally sung by Kishore Kumar and composed by S.D Burman. RJ Anmol, who has not only sung the song but also conceptualized it, said, “For me, the first step was choosing a song, though I was sure that I will do a Dev Anand song. Later, I thought, why not get my passion for Rekhaji in a song and Khwaab Ho Tum just clicked me. We then started working on this concept, while keeping one thing in mind that the essence of the original track is not lost.”

In the video of this song, one would witness glimpses of RJ Anmol having this dream of meeting Bollywood Queen Rekha to whom the song is dedicated. He elaborated on what the song video is all about, “I have admired Rekhaji and have always been in awe of her personality. In the video, young, Naman Jain has played my childhood role. The entire track showcases my admiration for Rekhaji and the erge to meet her.”

Khwaab Ho Tum has been recreated by RHAPSODY and directed by RJ Karan Singh. RJ Anmol said, “Karan Singh, who is also an RJ and a very good friend of mine, deserves a huge compliment. He has guided me quite well for this track.”

Anmol further told that Fever 104 FM National Programming Head, Gaurav Sharma also supported him in his dream-come-true song. “He was the first person with whom I shared this idea and the moment he heard it, he was like ‘I am with you’, and he supported me unconditionally,” stated RJ Anmol.

“Also a big credit to Saregama General Manager Content Head Praveen Kaushal as he was the person to give me a thumbs up right away! He told me, ‘You are a brand in retro, therefore, you doing something like this would be great’,” added RJ Anmol.

Renowned Indian music label, Saregama will be releasing RJ Anmol’s debut track today.

On this, Safia Ally DGM Content Saregama India mentioned, “With Khwab Ho Tum, RJ Anmol becomes the first Indian Radio Jockey to release his video with Saregama." 

Unlike most of us, RJ Anmol found an interesting way to connect to Rekhaji and we were curious to know about this unique idea.

To this the RJ added, “There are lakhs of people, who have told her this, In-fact there have been many times when Rekhaji was in the same room, where I was also present. There were times when she was just ten feet away from me and I could talk to her. But my style and my approach cannot be like the rest, who have done it. And since radio was the approach, I opted for it.”

Well, RJ Anmol has not only sung but has also produced his debut song that is included in his ‘firsts’. “I had to put my best in this project. Hence, I had decided to produce it myself. I, therefore, did not have to approach anyone or go anywhere to ask for money,” stated the popular RJ.

Kavita Ghai will be the biggest surprise of the video.
