Did Shaan just call music industry "plastic"?

MUMBAI: A lot has changed in the music industry since the 90s. Those were the good old days when a few music composers and singers dominated the music scene, but things changed drastically with the pool of talent emerging out of reality shows. A music album that belonged to one music composer is now being worked on by multiple composers. At least 3-4 singers’ record for the same song and nobody knows whose voice would finally make it to the final song video until the D-day.

Many singers have complained about this changed situation in the past, but Shaan chose to express his thoughts more wisely on this matter. During the promotion of Hungama’s Beat Plastic Pollution Anthem song Shaan very subtlety called the music industry ‘Plastic’.

He said, “These days you’re unsure about when your song would release. I would narrate it like ‘situation hain drastic, jaha dekho plastic’.”

Well, the thought appeared from a few incidents that have unfolded in the singer's professional life. “There are songs you sing and you get excited about the release. But then, you get a call and get to hear that your song does not fit in that particular situation or it is being released in someone else’s voice. I have gone through such tragedies where the song has not been a part of the film,” confessed the Bum Bum Bole singer.

Moving on the ever-positive singer shared his upcoming projects. “There is a romantic song with Sunidhi Chauhan in the film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3, starring Sanjay Dutt.”
