MUMBAI: T-Series Managing Director Bhushan Kumar, who recently graced the success party of Armaan Malik’s single, Ghar Se Nikalte Hi spoke on the recent slamming of the song by Bollywood lyricst Javed Akhtar.

On being asked about Javedji’s criticism on recreating old songs, Kumar expressed his opinion, saying, “That is his thought, I can’t comment anything on it. There are many people who think that songs should not be recreated as the moral of the song is lost, but I have a little different opinion that any song can be adapted. If you want adapt a song or else newcomers like new lyrics writer, new singer will not get a chance to move forward. And, that’s the reason we do this kind of adaptations. So, with due respect to Javed Saab, he is right what he is trying to say, but we have done all the mixing in our limits.”

Armaan , who was also present at the event told that he has nothing to say about the hassle, but, on the contrary was seen praising the original makers, including Javed Saab.

The composer of the original song, Rajesh Roshan, who is always reserved, has expressed anger on the recreation of their song, which was sung by Udit Narayan. Rajesh, who called this stealing for somebody else’s creativity has also pointed out on how composers today are the puppet of a producer, lacking freedom to create their own compositions. He also expressed his brother Rakesh Roshan’s opinion on taking actions against big company’s like T-Series for vandalizing creativity.

The original song was sung by Javed Akhtar for the film Papa Kahte Hai, starring Jugal Hansraj and Mayuri Kango. Akhtar had slammed the makers for changing the lyrics of the original song. The famous lyricst is of a thought that the use of the songs mukhda several times and the change of the lyrics has distorted both the original song and his stature as a lyricist. Javed Akhtar had sent a notice to Amaal, Armaan and T-Series under the designated section 57 of the Copyright Act. With Rajesh Roshan also coming vocal about the recreated version, we won’t be shocked if the original singer of the song, Udit Narayan also joins Akhtar and Roshan.

Meanwhile, the recreated version of Ghar Se Nikalte Hi continues being a rage among fans and has crossed 38 million views as of now.
