SurSagar's second year begins with flautist Ashwin Srinivasan

MUMBAI: After a successful one year of presenting talented young artiste of this generation in ‘SurSagar’ A rising star every month, the second year begins with the melodius and soulful notes on the flute by a very talented flautist Ashwin Srinivasan. he is the most sought after flautist in Mumbai, and is known not only for his Bansuri, but also for his proficiency in various other world folk wind instruments.  To witness Ashwin Srinivasan playing live, get your feet onto Sri Shanmukhnanda Padma Ranga Chamber Music Hall, 2nd Floor, Sion, Mumbai on 13 April, 2018, 7.30 pm. onwards. Entry is free for the concert and would be based on first come basis.

Ashwin Srinivasan was born in a family of musicians. He was initiated into Indian classical music when he was two years old. He has also been trained by violinist Dr. N. Rajam in Mumbai. Having won a lot of praise and accolades as a child prodigy, He moved base to Mumbai to pursue his dream of being a professional musician.

 Being an integral part of most of Bollywood music, he has also performed all over the world with almost all leading musicians of India, both on stage and as a session musician. He has worked as a composer cum producer on a theatre production of Shakespeare's As You Like It directed by one of UK's best theatre directors -Tim Supple, along with Nitin Sawhney the legendary Indian-British musician, and composer. His works encompasses elements of electronica, jazz and other genres. While working with Nitin, he also collaborated with Anoushka Shankar and Imogen Heap.
