Sundown Session 3.0 to feature seven fresh voices

MUMBAI: October is here and Sundown Sessions has once again come with seven independent musicians and seven fresh tunes. The third edition will be at OF10 Powai this time.

The artist lineup for this edition is Hitesh Kumar, Kalyaani, Tapas, Maharashi Jani, Bryan “The Man” Ernest, Saachi Rajadhyaksha and Pravaah.

Hitesh Kumar is a singer-songwriter/percussionist from Mumbai. He began his journey into songwriting in 2013 and attributes his singing and guitar playing to artists like John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson and Ed Sheeran. His songs are a blend of soulful melodies with lyrics based on life experiences.

Kalyaani is known for her strong voice conveying incredible emotion, echoing the earthiness of her native Himachal. Resonating with causes such as environmental preservation and animal rights, she is the founding member of the independent band, Anantara, and has played extensively across Delhi and Mumbai.

TAPAS is a six-piece Hindi contemporary rock band from Mumbai. They have recently released their debut EP Aarambh. Their music revolves around the expression of deep human emotions, with a blend of soulful melodies and energetic and ambient rock elements. With every song they have made, they brilliantly convey a social message.

Maharshi is a singer-songwriter based in Mumbai. Out of all the instruments he has learned, he mostly plays the ukulele on stage and drums sometimes. He draws his inspiration for music from musicians like Ed Sheeran, The Neighbourhood, Jason Mraz, and Chet Faker.

Bryan “The Man” Ernest is a singer-songwriter based in Mumbai. He is known for his ever learning and changing the style of playing. His unique voice makes him what he is. He draws his inspiration from John Mayer.

Saachi is a Mumbai based singer and songwriter.  Her work consists of mainly pop/RnB and soul music. She takes inspiration from the likes of Alessia Cara, Imagine Dragons and so on.

Pravaah is again a Mumbai based Hindi Folk Rock Act. They recently released their debut Mukaam in November 2016. The song is about seeking oneself. The three-piece band consists of Prakash Gunjal, Shaliwahan Naik and Ankit Bariya.

The session will take place on 7 October at 9 pm.
