'Marriageable Age' is about societal pressure: Singer Aditi Ramesh

MUMBAI: Lawyer turned singer, Aditi Ramesh recently released her third single a week ago. This is from her EP Autocorrect featuring Dee MC and Keenan.

“My new single Marriageable Age is about the societal pressures we face as women to get married, especially after the age of 25. When a woman is of marriageable age, it doesn't matter what or how well she's doing, the marriage certificate becomes her license to live. The track features the poignant verses of rapper Dee MC and the groovy bassline and beats of producer Keenan.”

The singer is currently working on the last song of the debut EP Autocorrect which will be out soon. All the songs will be made available on digital platform iTunes soon.

Apart from this Aditi is also working on Ladies Compartment. “I am also presently working on my all ladies ensemble Ladies Compartment.  This started as a three-piece band along with Kirsten Marea (violins, vocals) and Nandita V (bass, vocals). It has now evolved into a larger project with a rolling lineup and will feature a number of female instrumentalists and vocalists. We are working getting a set ready and hope to play our first gig as a larger ensemble soon,” said the versatile singer.
