Amaal Mallik roped in as a guest composer for 'Chef'

MUMBAI: The song Tere Mere Darmiyaan from Chef that has been released today definitely belongs to among the top of the list of heart- melting songs of the year. Of interest is the fact that the creator of this particular song, Amaal Mallik, has given the industry hits like Soch Na Sake and Kar Gia Chull.

Tere Mere Darmiyaan is a song that will build relationships and bring people closer. Picturised on Saif Ali Khan, it is a song in which Saif's character understands where he has gone wrong and wants to make things right. The track is a beautiful blend of Indian music with alternative rock undertones and has a buffet of instruments like Chinese flutes, bansuri, dobros, banjos. The lyrics are so well penned by Rashmi Virag that they easily connect with any person in love who has faced a similar situation.

Amaal Mallik and Abhijit Vaghani have belted out chart topping numbers like Sooraj Dhooba HaiGulabi Ankhien 2.0Sua AasmaanMain Rahoon Ya Na RahoonSalamat and much more in the past. Tere Mere Darmiyaan features a happy guitar melody with soothing vocals by Armaan Mallik.

Talking about his experience with working with the music producer of the song Abhijit Vaghani, Amaal Mallik siad, "He is a really talented music producer and understands the composers vision! I love the fact that he will fight for something new and unheard, yet when a song needs simplicity he just lets it breathe, still keeping things innovative yet simple. It took us 10 - 12 straight days of no sleep to envision this song and when we cracked it, the feeling was surreal."
