Things to know before Road to Ultra: India Ft. The Chainsmokers

MUMBAI: Year 2017 has been a happening year for all of us. First it was Justin Bieber and now it will be  Chainsmokers and after that it will be Ed Shereen. The Chainsmokers which is best known for its electronic dance music will tour two cities in India - Mumbai and Delhi on 7 and 8 September respectively as a part of an Asia Tour.

The Chainsmokers consists of Andrew Taggart and Allex Pall have shot songs like #Selfie, Closer and Don’t Let Me Down. Since their first visit to India they have been working on new songs and album. They have made Memories and the major hit song Do Not Open. This will definitely be fascinating to hear for all the fans as the band is coming up with a new set of songs.

This is not the Chainsmokers first visit India; earlier the band came in the year 2014 for the VH1 Supersonic Arcade which was an extension of the freshly launched by VH1. The year saw Steve Aoki and Chainsmokers’ performance in three cities in Delhi (14 November), Mumbai (15 November) and Bangalore (16 November). Since then the band has made a large fan base in India.

Chainsmokers is also bringing along well known American DJ and singers. Shushi, Rezz, Getter, Sam Feldt and Lost Kings will be seen performing on the following days. This will be a great fan moment for many as they can get a closer look at their idols in the city of dreams and the national capital.

The band will don attire designed by Indian fashion designer  and stylist Neeta Lulla. Lulla has worked for over 300 films. Chainsmokers will be wearing kurtas by Lycra and bomber jacket to present a fusion look.

Chainsmokers had worked with versatile actress Priyanka Chopra for Erase  and will also share the stage with her in India. There are high expectations from the fans ,especially after the letdown by Justin Bieber when he came to Mumbai in May at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai this year.
